The “Clone” tag template facility is designed to enable different dynotags share the information of a “Master” tag. This way, you can simply get additional dynotag products – each of which having their private and separate dynotag ID – and at activation time, make them work as a copy of an existing dynotag in your collection!
In other words, when you have more than one dynotag in your collection, you can make any dynotag point to an existing dynotag.
Example: Let’s say you have two dynotags in your collection – an original tag named “A” and another new one named “B” – and you want to make B point to whatever information A has. You have to be signed in to your dynotag account to make these updates.
- Activate your new replacement tag “B”. This actually can be any existing tag in your collection.
- While viewing contents of tagB, choose “Template” in menu then click “Clone Tag”
- Your tag Edit form just changed and there is a drop-down selector titled” Existing Tag to Forward to”. In that selector Pick “A”, then click “Save”.
Your tag “B” is now a clone of tag “A” and will behave as “A” was scanned or viewed when third parties view its content. When you update the contents of tag “A” changes will be in effect for all its clones also.
When you have more than one dynotag in your collection, you can make any dynotag point to an existing dynotag. You can repeat this process to point several tags to share the information of a “Master” tag.
